Just days after iLRN2026 in Athens, PAX travelled to Bamberg for the International Symposium “VR- and AI-assisted foreign language learning”, organised by Prof. Dr. Theresa Summer and her team at the University of Bamberg together with Dr. Jennifer Wengler (Leibniz University Hannover), in cooperation with the BaTEGS project.
Over two days, the PAX team — Alena Jůvová, Ondřej Duda, and Marius Ritter, among others — shared the project’s results with an international community of researchers working on immersive and AI-assisted language education, and gained valuable insights into and from related projects in the field.
The symposium was a rare opportunity to bring together the research communities around VR, AI, and foreign language learning — and to strengthen the connections between PAX and colleagues working on the same questions across Europe.
