On April 7th, 2025, the Faculty of Education at Palacký University Olomouc hosted a hands-on PAX workshop dedicated to the integration of VR/AR/XR technologies in teaching at the primary and lower-secondary levels.
Organised by Dr. Alena Jůvová and Dr. Ondřej Duda, the event welcomed a group of around 65 pre-service teachers, eager to explore innovative tools that can reshape the future of education. The workshop featured special guests from Velehrad Elementary School, led by Mgr. Jiří Sukaný, who shared real classroom experiences and best practices using immersive technology.
Participants had the chance to try out MetaQuest 3 goggles, applying them in practical educational scenarios while connecting their use to solid didactic principles and methodological frameworks.
This collaborative event highlighted the power of extended reality in modern pedagogy and emphasized the importance of preparing future educators for digital classrooms.
